“Tannie Dot” as she is lovingly known is not scared of tackling big trees.  She has an amazing collection and actively involved in exhibiting and keeping the editor of the eZine (that’s me) on her toes.  That said, she never criticizes without offering advice on how to fix it and for that, we all love her. In 2002 she moved to Harrismith to be close to her daughter.  Because of having been a member of the Bloemfontein Kai, she missed the company of other bonsaists.  She then decided to start a club in Harrismith, hoping there would be a few interested people.  In November 2003 a meeting was held and Platberg Bonsai Kai was born in 2004.
