March Photo Competition - Class Indigenous

April 7, 2017

This Acacia galpinni (Monkey Thorn) was growing on a stoep in Bloemfontein in a garden container. John de Kock bought it in 1998 from its first owner, and brought it to Cape Town. I bought it from John in 2008, cut off the top branches and regrown the crown. It is 26 years in training and currently 76cm tall and in a pot from Bishopsford Bonsai Nursery.
